After Elephants Dream now this is another amazing short-film made using the open source tool blender, funded by the Blender Foundation. Production started last yeear in may and it has been released on 27. September this year at the Netherlands Film Festival (30. September online). I dont want to talk about the level of detail, the story or anything because just the fact that i post it should tell you that i love it – i think its worth to watch the 15mins just for yourself.

even after just quickly skipping through the thing i have to say: amazing! Blender rocks, and people who can make it rock rock as well! i personally am still having my problems with the software but i guess it is because i do not rock so much. will try to download this from somewhere and watch in full length on my tv. which rocks.
watched it. AWE. SOME. 720p, 32″ tv, looks AH. MAY. ZING! in some scenes i could not believe my eyes. the caves? that tree? and the dragon… Saint Dragon… ;)
only bummer was, xvid stutters a lot. should get the dvd. too bad it’s so short. but i liked the twist. and the sound. apart from the kind of terrible song during the credits…
All in all, stunning. Simply stunning.
I didnt have any problems displaying it smoothly… but you are right, it could as well have been a full movie (90+mins) and watching it in a theatre. I would have liked to see all the adventures on the way to the dragon in full lengths (that was a bit too fast forwarded for my taste).
